Even though this EP from New York based live instrumentation hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes only has three tracks, it is definitely worth downloading. The EP, released digitally, contains three songs from the band's upcoming album The Quilt, due to be released September 9th. The lead single, "Cookie Jar," features R&B singer The-Dream and is pretty much unlike anything the band has done before. They also recently made a video for the second track "Peace Sign/Index Down." I waited a couple weeks before downloading this, and, in the words of that dude from Unforgivable, "that's a mistake." Good lyrics, solid beats, and just a great overall sound, this is a must-have for any fans of the band, and even people who haven't heard of them but think they might enjoy some good alternative hip-hop. You'll definitely have this one on repeat, and if these tracks are any indication, the new album should be dope.Look out for The Quilt, out 9/9 on Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance Records.
