Dual Drop: Its Charles Hamilton and A Kid Called Cudi Mixtapes

These are a couple older mixtapes from Charles Hamilton and Kid Cudi that are worth a look.

Click Pic for Download

First is It's Charles Hamilton. This mixtape is filled with some fresh tracks. "Nino del Inferno" is the rule book on how to use "Straight to Hell" by the Clash. "Negative Zero" is a fresh new look at a "hipster rap alt rock love/dont F^%* with me song." lol. We finally get to see a harder side of Hamilton on this one. Then, "Wonder" hits us with that "Dig" (Incubus) sample. Yea you read that right, a rapper samples an Incubus track. "Starchasers" also gets a nod on my favorites list. Dope nod to Nas' Illmatic with that cover.
Here is a bonus track: Hot Like The Blog -Charles Hamilton

Next up is Kid Cudi's A Kid Called Cudi. This tape dropped a while ago with the help of 10 Deep and Plain Pat and is still basically fueling Cudi's career. Regardless, this mixtape is dope. "Cudi Spazzin" is the single that initially gained the most recognition due to its sick hook. I am really digging "Is There Any Love?" feat. Wale/"Embrace The Martian"/ "Maui Wowie"/ "T.G.I.F." (same feel as "Cudi Spazzin"). Download both and you won't be dissapointed. See the full post...

New Lil' Wayne mixtape...

The Drought Is Over Pt. 6 [Click for download]Here it is. Lil' Wayne's The Drought Is Over pt. 6. It seems the general consensus was that Dedication 3 was not up to the usual Weezy standards, so let's hope this one goes over a little better. Only complaint I have is the way The Empire has that dude talk all over their shit..."Holy sh-(yeah, he actually censors himself), where'd you find this?!" Ricky already dropped "Red Magic" on you, now get the whole mixtape. Check the intro for his explanation of the whole Tha Carter III: The Rebirth/Tha Carter IV issue I posted about earlier.

"All about a dollar, fuck two quarters. Bitch I pour syrup in that Vitamin Water."
Wonder who inspired that...

Don't Mess With Beyonce

I know i have posted about this song too many times but one more should suffice. She recently performed "Single Ladies" at the AMA's and she demolished this performance. Pretty cool camera works as well.

Bow Wow x DJ Infamous: Half Man Half Dog Mixtape

Bow Wow has finally jumped into the mixtape game with Half Man Half Dog Vol.1. I have high hopes for this one. A couple of his most recent tracks have been pretty sick. Download some of his most recent stuff HERE. "On My Momma" is pretty ill. I hate to admit it but he puts some fresh rhymes together. Lets see where he goes with this one. I need some def music now that Lil' Wayne is falling off....sorry Wayne but the Dedication was lacking. Lets hope Drought is Over Pt.6 is dope. Ha ha, you know it'll be dope just check the first single "Red Magic".

p.s. Bow Wow please get off Soulja Boi's dick please. The guy is making money but he is so wack!
Props to him for being on Entourage though (one of the best shows out).

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport 2009

Oh yes...it is like that. Bugatti has made a one of a kind version of their monster, the Veyron. They call it the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. This beast was actually sold at this years Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The main modification for this model was the removable roof. That modification makes the Veyron Grand Sport the fastest roadster. Check out the details HERE. Love that color and the day running lights. See the full post...

C’N’C’ CoSTUME NATIONAL Autumn/Winter 2008

C’N’C’ CoSTUME NATIONAL's Autumn/Winter 2008 collection is here and I am really liking the direction. The line is very edgy even though they use very elegant, and in most cases, formal pieces. I would personally roll down the pant legs and get rid of the hobo handwarmers but that's just me. I love the shoes that the second model from the left is wearing and the vest that the model to the right of him is wearing as well. The rest of their line includes beautiful tuxedo jackets, scarves, pinstripe pants, and shirts. Check out the entire collection HERE.

St. Alfred New Eras

Chicago boutique St. Alfred produced some quality New Era caps as part of their Holiday 2008 collection. They made two check New Era caps with only a very small logo embroidery on the side and one black suede New Era cap with red satin lining. All three are now available.

The red satin lining on those black suedes is so hot. Come on RCO, pick these up.

Emporio Armani Diamond for Men

I have been debating if I should post about the new cologne from Emporio Armani, Diamond. Obviously I have decided to. You have probably seen the commercials with Josh Harnett but I personally vouch for this one. I love this cologne. The price tag, however, has vexed me for a long time now (approx $70/not sure what size but its the reg. one). I have had Emporios classic Aqua di Gio for a few years now but "recently" (6months ago..lol) I broke my bottle. I have had to search the virtually limitless amount of colognes out now. I have finally made my decision on Diamond. The classic, clean and mature feel of emporios colognes have left me no other option. Now all I need is a loan and I'll be all good.

Heres a little info on Diamond:
EA Diamonds for Men was created Jacques Cavallier of Firmenich. It contains gourmet-woody aromatic juicy, with an unusual gourmet reversal in the top notes. (OK??) The perfume opens with sparkling, sweet aromas of bergamot(roughly pear-shaped fragrant citrus fruit native to Southeastern Asia), with Guaiac(small, ornamental plants grown in Fl. and Ca.), vetiver (fixative), cedar, Szechuan pepper, cocoa and ambroxan(ambergris(fixative) replacement odorant in perfume manufacturing).
The bottle was designed by the man himself, Giorgio Armani.
The perfume is available on the market in the amount of 30, 50 and 75ml EDT, as 75 ml aftershave, 200 ml bath and 75 ml deo stick.

The birth of something fresh...

I really wanna know what goes on in Lil' Wayne's head. This track is called "Hot Revolver," and, as far as I know, it's supposed to be on his up coming album The Carter III: The Rebirth. You may ask: why not just Tha Carter IV? Well, that's coming too. Wikipedia explains it best: "Wayne wants Tha Carter IV to be 'what everyone wants Tha Carter IV to be.' He feels that the album he has ready is something 'brand new' and 'experimental', and he said that 'some people are not gonna like this, and I don't want them to not like Tha Carter IV.' So instead of releasing the album under Tha Carter IV title, Wayne said he plans to release it as, Tha Carter III: The Rebirth, the birth of a new beginning." It also goes on to paraphrase Kanye as saying that the album should be out in time for Christmas. Wayne can really do no wrong in my book (he and Kanye made auto-tune sound dope, sorry T-Pain), so I'm actually pretty stoked to hear this "experimental" album. Should be ill.
Get "Hot Revolver" here (oh and sorry for the annoying DJ talking all over it, it's the only version that's out anywhere).

Yeah, another Wale remix.

I first heard Colin Munroe last February, when I downloaded his cover of Kanye's "Flashing Lights." I thought the track was pretty dope, so, naturally, I was interested when I saw this new track online...it's a remix of Colin's track "Will I Stay" featuring Wale. If you're at all a fan of either Colin or Wale you might wanna check it out. Colin's mixtape Colin Munroe Is The Unsung Hero is supposed to drop December 1st, so I'll be on the lookout for that one.

Get "Will I Stay (Remix ft. Wale)" here.

Also, here's the video for Colin's "Flashing Lights" Remix.

Hype on Wale x LRG x 9th Wonder present: Back To The Feature

I Beast for the Hype.
Wale is finally dropping some new material. LRG, 9th Wonder and Wale have joined forces to hit us hard with some of that hot shhhhh....lol. Anyways, if you don't know who Wale or 9th Wonder are you'd better get informed. Wale is the one of the most influential rappers to hit my musical library in recent history. His Mixtape 100 Miles and Running mixed by Nick Catchdubs is still set to repeat on my ipod. This heavy hitter will take another step into the mainstream consciousness when he drops this new mixtape that is being produced by 9th Wonder. 9th Wonder has worked with everyone from The Cool Kids to Destiny's Child. He is known for his seemless Al Green and Curtis Mayfield samples. Back To The Feature is not going to stray from this. He has already remixed "Short Eyes" by Curtis Mayfield. "Short Eyes" has been used by a number of rappers including Wale ("Back in the Go Go" and "Vacation From Ourselves") and Jay-z (American Gangster). The tracklist has not been released as of yet but the buzz is huge for this one (crazy features and all-star samples). This tape should be released within the next month. For now though check out "Delivery Man"(9th Wonder Remix) by The Cool Kids and the first single off of Back to The Feature: "5 Minutes" by Wale feat Skyzoo. Duffy's "Warwick Ave" feat Wale will also be on the mixtape. Download all three tracks here. (check the file name and description of the download....fresh, fresh)
Check out the streeming cut of Curtis Mayfield's "Short Eyes":

If you liked Viva La Hova...

Here's the video for Coldplay's song "Lost+" (as opposed to the original: Lost!, which was on their most recent album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends). This "+" version features Jay-Z, but this isn't a mash-up like the Viva La Hova mixtape, it's an actual collabo, and it will be on their upcoming Prospekt's March EP.

Im Sorry Yeezy

Recently, Beyonce was on SNL and one of their skits involved her new "Single Ladies" Video. To begin with, I think that the original video is very innovative. The singular theme of the three ladies dancing in contrast to the everchanging lighting and camera variation make the video a must see. Kanye was definitely the main force behind the "Re-Birth of the Music Video" but you have to give credit to Beyonce and Jake Nava (director) for this one. Oh yea...have I mentioned how hot Beyonce is......cough cough......i mean Mrs. Carter.....sorry Jay.

Right off Kanye's blog:

The Death of Adam: 88-Keys

I think it is finally time to post about The Death of Adam by 88-Keys. This dropped a few weeks ago but there weren't any torrents for a quick minute. I actually caved and picked it up on itunes...$9.99. There are a few torrents floating around the internet now so you should be fine. I definitely recommend downloading this. 88-Keys (if you dont already know) is a dope producer that has worked with the likes of Kanye, Talib, and Def. Check "Stay Up!" on the cd to get a little bit of Yeezy. The cd is obviously about the death of adam, a normal guy that got caught up in the moment with one night stand and eventually died as a result. The disc covers every step of his adventure, from the night with this chick to....well you know. 88-Key's uses tons of fresh jazz and soul samples to get this story through to his audience.

"She had a burning bush...wow!" lol

5 Track Preview of The Killers' new album.

I recently dl'ed this preview of The Killers' new album Day & Age, which is set to be released November 25. It includes studio versions of the first 2 singles, Human and Spaceman, as well as live versions (the quality of which is not great) of three other tracks from the album, Losing Touch, Joy Ride, and Neon Tiger. These songs are quite good, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting this album...hopefully it leaks sooner rather than later.

The Vehicles of a Long Time From Now

So I have been sitting on this gold-mine for a long time now, but here I make my triumphant blogging return with a wicked good post. It all started with the LA Design Challenge, in which today's top auto companies were given the theme of "Motorsports 2025" to come up with some prototypes. The results were pretty awesome.

I personally favored the companies that included a story with their presentation, most especially Honda. They created a fictional "Great Race 2025" in which competitors must navigate through land, sea, and air.

Mazda
also did a nice job of creating their own unique world. They centered their "car", called the KAAN, around the E1, which is sort of like 2025's version of F1 racing. "In 2025, California freeways have been resurfaced with a sub-level electro-conductive polymer that powers the electric cars of the modern world. MAZDA's patented electronic tire system uses this technology to power the KAAN to reach 250 mph with no harmful emissions." I may be biased since I have owned 3 Mazdas, but I think this one looks the sickest of the bunch.

My third favorite comes from powerhouse BMW, which came up with a hydrogen powered Salt Flat Racer. Not only is this vehicle not harmful to the environment, it is actually helping it because all the body panels and wheel discs come from recycled materials (trash can lids, oil barrels (lots of those laying around), etc.). Probably the most plausible of all entrants.

Audi also created a fictional racing circuit to present their R25. The cool thing about their creation is that this racing circuit and its vehicles are designed to allow for passing anywhere on the course (Imagine sliding up walls in tunnels, YEAH!).

Toyota's entry would have been one of my favorites if they had cleaned up the design a bit. Nevertheless, their concept behind the Lemans Racer is sweet. "The vehicle features two basic modes: High Speed Mode and Cornering Mode. In High Speed Mode, the body and wheels narrow, creating less drag and resistance to reach its highest speed of 350 mph.

To aid the driver in darkness or unreliable weather, the cockpit is a completely digital environment with a display enhanced by virtual reality, computer trajectory plotting, collision avoidance assistance and a robot co-pilot, which manages the on-board systems and repairs so that it can maintain full speed all the way to the finish."

With BMW here, you bet your bucket Mercedes came up with something as well. It comes in the form of the Formula Zero Racer, bringing with it a new form of racing: luxury racing. "Each team is allocated the same amount of stored energy and it is left to the teams and drivers to manage the variables to win the race.

Spectators at the Mercedes Benz Formula Zero racing Series are treated to a new dimension of racing as the transparent track is visible from all perspectives - even from below!"
Mitsubishi came up with the MMR25, which, I imagine, would drive drifters crazy with its omni-directional wheels.

GM and Volkswagon entered environmentally friendly concepts, the Chapparal Volt and the Bio Runner, respectively. Booooorrrrriiinnngggg.....

If you want to find out more about any of these, I suppose you could google them. Or just wait about 16 years, whatever's more convenient. See the full post...

Some mashup mixtape action.
