If I Could Only Have 3: The Daily Driver

As a prelude to the eventual unveiling of my favorite car, which I know you check this blog daily to find out, I am going to write a 3 part post. The 3 parts will be The Daily Driver, The Track Monster, and, finally, My Favorite Car. As you may have noticed from the title, this car would be my ideal daily driver.

It's the Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR, the Stirling Moss Edition. What makes this one so special? First of all, this is going to be the last car that Mercedes and McLaren make together. There will only be 75 of them made. It will cost €750,000, which is a little over $1,000,000 these days. It has a 650hp, 5.5L Supercharged V8, going 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

I don't care about any of that. You can't count anymore how many cars have such gaudy statistics. Why do I like this one so much then? It's pretty simple actually. When I look at cars, I go by a certain philosophy used by art collectors: If you don't have to have it, don't buy it. Well, I have to have this. It is quite possibly the second prettiest car ever made (yes, I do know how to wring out suspense). It costs a million dollars, and it doesn't even have a roof (I should say, the absence of a roof really won't matter as I'll be driving this down the streets in my sunny hometown of Monte Carlo). But when a car can move you while standing still, well, that's the real test I think aficionados abide by.

Of the 3 cars on my list, this one is by far the most expensive. But what can I say? I have to have it.

Bill O'Reilly Dennis Miller On Yung Jeezy and Jay-Z At Obama Inag>

Aw. This Video is crackin me up. I guess this is how old white guys think of rappers now-a-days. Yung Jeezy might have taken it a little to far though. At least refrain from using nigga at the first Black Presidents innaguration. Throughout the interview O'Reilly constantly makes irresponsible generalizations based on his narrow viewpoint about a topic that he has little experience with(Hip-Hop). Miller also went a little general when explaining "the blacks" situation in America but he kept a very level head throughout the interview. His point about the insignificance of this case was well made.

2:25: The real explanation behind Wayne and Jeezys names.
2:50: O'Reilly has no idea why Hip-Hop ARTISTS create their music.
6:00 on: This is an epic fail on The O'Reilly comedic factor. Time and time again...fail. He is on his knees tossin some Miller salad. Reminds me of the Dad in Step Brothers when he is talking to his new son-in law (the successful one). I think the worst part of this section of the video is Millers straining attempts at pity laughter.
6:20: Miller even throws the patented eye rub/look away pity smile....classic. Its horrible to watch. He continually stops paying attention and making sounds. He resorts to classic hand and arm motions to convey his lack of care and attention to O'Reillys jokes. Get a clue bro.
7:10: The reason Miller is there
7:14: Is that what I think it is? I think it is.... See the full post...

Prom Queen -- First single from Lil' Wayne's rock album! UPDATED w/o DJ Tags.

So, Lil' Wayne is set to release his rock debut Rebirth on April 7th, and here is the first single, "Prom Queen". It is all tagged up, but this song isn't even supposed to be released til January 27, so I'll take what I can get.

Also, here's another track I've been meaning to post for a quick minute.

Yes! - Lil' Wayne ft. Pharrell
Hit up the full post for more info on the album.

The album was originally thought to be an experimental release in Tha Carter series (as I previously posted), but now it has been revealed that Wayne will be releasing a rock album. He's
often cited Kurt Cobain as one of his major musical influences, and has been planning a rock project for a while now (who remembers Bad Ass Grasshopper?). I wouldn't say rock is Weezy's strong suit, but the album should be interesting to say the least. The only thing I can really hope is that he drops the Auto-Tune for a minute.

Renegade's Cadillac One

Fact is, we have a black president. Fact is, security for the President needs to be beefed up. It's no surprise then that as President Obama is probably now getting ready for his inauguration, a final shine is being put on his new presidential limo.

You could say that it's a Cadillac. Indeed, given it's grill, that's what they would have you believe. This time though, it's actually built on a custom heavy duty truck chassis. It's got some 19.5" tires that laugh at stray nail heads. What may seem to be the opposite of an update- the windows are smaller than ever- is actually another security measure. Smaller windows equals a smaller target. The limo has enough locks built inside the door to rival a Swiss bank vault, so you can put away that paper clip. Of course the doors are thick, but these particular doors are apparently just as heavy as those found on 757 planes. The entire limo is peppered with rubber gaskets to help protect against any gas attacks. Under the hood lurks a massive diesel engine, the specs of which are confidential.

It's not exactly good looking, but hey, if the worst thing you can say about it is that it's ugly, then it's doing its job pretty well. See the full post...
